Javier Gándara

Country Director en easyJet - Spain

Is the chairman of the Airline Association (ALA) and General Director of easyJet for southern Europe.

Prior to joining easyJet, he worked as Senior Manager for Spain and Portugal at the international company FedEX. In 2007 Javier was appointed Chief Operating Officer of easyJet in Spain, and this was his position until May 1, 2011, when he became General Director of easyJet for Spain and Portugal.

In October 2020 he continued growing at easyJet as General Director for southern Europe.

Javier graduated in aeronautical engineering at the UPM (Polytechnic University of Madrid); he holds a degree in Business Administration and Management by the UNED; he has an Executive MBA by the IE Business School, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Air Transport Management by the City University of London. He is the author of the book "Revolution in the skies: Keys to the Success of Low-Cost Airlines", published by the editorial group ITAérea. Javier Gándara is married and has two children.
